The Countess of Wessex’s third and final day in France saw her visit and receive a guided tour of the “Impressionists in London” Exhibition at Petit Palais in a cream midi dress and a leather jacket.
She wore what appears to be a Emilia Wickstead design dress. The dress has a rounded scoop neck, long sleeves and a fitted waistline, cinched with a belt. The dress is in Sophie’s favourite fit-and-flare silhouette with a tea-length skirt, featuring beautiful fluid pleated folds through the length of the skirt.
The actual Emilia Wickstead dress has been a bit hard to identify at the moment. The lighting in the images shows it as three possible colours, white, lilac or a muted grey. When creating garments for Royals, Emilia Wickstead is known to take different construction pieces from different dresses in a collection or even across different seasons. We often see this with the dress designs that both Sophie and Catherine wear, and feel this dress could also be a bespoke piece, something the Countess regularly does with labels. Sophie wore her Prada leather jacket. The round necked long sleeve black leather jacket, has a buttoned down front and black suede shoulder epaulettes. The leather jacket is quite plain in its design aesthetic as compared with many other leather jackets. There are no zippers, buckles, flap pockets or studding details. We have not seen the Countess wear this piece very often, but usually to more casual events so this was a shake up. Get a nice replicate of this jacket, here.
Sophie carried one of her favourite Sophie Habsburg clutches. It is the beige version of her pochette clutch, also in snakeskin, again minus the snake feature seen below. This bag is not available.
Sophie wore her new Prada brown suede ankle boots retailing for £728. These fashion forward ankle booties have a rounded toe, side exposed zipper with gunmetal toned hardware and a 100mm heel height.
