The Countess of Wessex started a two-day visit to Malta on Thursday, wearing both Roksanda and Victoria Beckham. She is visiting as the Global Ambassador for 100 Women in Finance’s Next Generation.
Photos have been very limited, so do bear with us!
Sophie wore the Roksanda sleeveless Flared Stripe Dress, a new season piece. You can purchase this for £2,450 at Farfetch. The sleeveless dress features a round neckline and contrasting stripes of pink and purple. The dress has a cinched waist, the skirt flares out to an A-line silhouette in midi-length and has a concealed zip at the rear. The colour of this dress is described as Plum, Blossom and Mink.
Roksanda is one of Sophie’s go-to favourite designers. The dress length on Sophie is more of a tea-length than what appears on the model, sweeping an inch or two above the ankle.
Sophie wore a brown/black leather cropped Moto Jacket by Prada over the dress, giving it a bit of an edge. This style of this leather jacket is quite simple and does not have the typical zips, buckles and small pockets that you would normally see on a moto jacket, but does features shoulder epaulettes and button closures. This is quite a departure from Sophie’s structured and tailored blazers, she normally opts for.
The Countess carried a pouch clutch by Noble MacMillian. The ‘Tassel Pouch’ in Cyclamen colour can be purchased for £99 here, or for slightly more here. This is a mid-sized pouch with a detachable tassel that is connected to the zip. The clutch is made from calf-skin and lined with silk.
You also have the option of personalising your clutch and having your name engraved into the hardware; Sophie has an ‘S’ embossed in gold in the corner. I love the deep jewel colour of this pouch, very chic.
Many thanks again to HRH The Countess of Wessex, Global Ambassador of 100WF’s next generation initiative, for visiting Malta on behalf of @100WomenFinance https://t.co/PaITFElhf3 pic.twitter.com/9H3xtnYv98

Sophie accessorised with a pair of Monica Vinader ‘Siren Stud Earrings 18ct Rose Gold Vermeil on Sterling Silver’. These understated earrings add a touch of elegance to the look; they have an organically shaped, rose cut, hand set rose quartz gemstone. You can purchase these earrings for £115 here, here or here. They also come in an Amazonite green colour.
Sophie also wore a pair of Suede Pointed-Toe Pumps by Prada in peach nude. These heels are mid-height stiletto crafted in Italy and feature Prada’s Gold Tone Logo on the bottom centre of the sole. You can purchase these heels from here for £500. A must have for any royal lady is to step out in a pair of sophisticated court heels. These gorgeous pair of heels are a great option for a nude heel and can be paired with almost any outfit.
This is a gorgeous look on Sophie. A great use of colour blocking and mixing and matching the colour of your shoes and bag.
That evening, the Countess changed into a black sheath dress by British Designer Victoria Beckham. Sophie wore the Victoria Beckham Poppy Floral Jacquard Dress. It is from Victoria’s pre spring summer 18 Ready-to-Wear Collection.
The fitted dress features a round neckline, T-shirt sleeves and the signature two-way zip through the back, which can be adjusted to assist in movement. It is made in France from a stretchy cotton/polyester mix. The jacquard dress has small red flowers scattered throughout and is fitted to just below the knee.
You can purchase this dress for £1,195 at Lane Crawford, at Net-A-Porter, at Selfridges and of course at at Victoria Beckham.
This print on this dress also comes in a sheath skirt, relaxed fit top, and in a slightly larger print in a long flared sleeve dress and Handkerchief Hem Skirt. The skirt (£550) and top (£920) can be purchased from Lane Crawford, the skirt from Farfetch for £1,611 and the dress from Net-A-Porter costing£1,595.
Sophie accessorised with Lucia Odescalchi ‘Lens Earrings’ and this necklace ‘Sapphire and Diamond Circle Open Work Pendant’ by Hettich. The necklace incoporates 0.55ct round faceted sapphires in the centre with 3.83CT of round brilliant cut diamonds around the outer spiralling circles, 18 CT white gold chain and was made in Italy. You can purchase this for £18,950.
You can buy a similar pair of earrings to Sophie’s here at Thomas Sabo.
She paired this dress with a tailored fitted black blazer, black suede pointed toe court heels, which might have been her black suede Harley heels from LK Bennett, featuring a thick platform, almond toe and tall heel. As there are not many photos from this event, I can not say for sure what these pieces are.
This morning was another Victoria Beckham dress for Sophie: the stripe panelled dress, it appears she may have on a navy cardigan over the top.
Sophie choose the Victoria Beckham Panelled Stretch-Knit Midi Dress. This sleeveless crew neck dress has diagonal panelled blocks of coloured fabric in nude, burgundy, red and navy. The dress has a fitted bodice and the skirt flares out into A-line longer midi length with a back zipper. You can purchase this dress for £1,550 from Selfridges.
Sophie wore a Stella McCartney ‘Vivienne’ coat over her Victoria Beckham dress. This panelled coat features a V-neckline, large collar and hidden button closures. The midnight blue coat is made from a wool-blend and has a flared hemline which is a perfect silhouette to sit on top of Sophie’s dress. You can purchase this coat on sale for £795 from Farfetch.
She accessorised with ‘Pangolin’ earrings in sterling silver by Patrick Mavros, costing £145.
Around her neck, Sophie wore the Hermes ‘Constance’ Charm in rose gold which is set with 65 diamonds, 0.29 CT. The charm is in the shape of a Hermes handbag on an adjustable chain; she wore it to the Chelsea Flower Show last year. You can purchase this necklace for £5235.
On her wrist, she wore her Fitbit ‘Alta’ Fitness Wristband in black £99.99.
Sophie also carried a beige python-effect flap clutch, which she has carried on a previous engagement, though it is yet to be identified. The Countess also wore nude pointed-toe court heels in a lower heel height. I think these shoes are a pair by Prada, but is difficult to 100% confirm from the images.
UPDATE: We think this is a version of the Sophie Habsburg ‘Lunatic’ pochette style clutch.
