For the final day of the Cheltenham festival last weekend, Zara Tindall continued to impress us by showing off a monochrome look, livened up with a splash of red. Zara attended with husband, Mike, her brother Peter and sister-in-law, Autumn, who chose velvet for the day.
Zara chose a custom Claire Mischevani coat, drawing on a number of elements seen in the CM range. The tweed coat is an A-line fit with full skirt, fastened on the left side with five large, black contrasting buttons. There is also a trench-style cuff with contrasting button. The main feature of this coat is the large flowing bow detail, adding a glamorous touch making it perfect for the races.
The piece is lined in vivid red.
You can see similar elements in these pieces.
A number of ladies were seen in this style coat from the brand, including ITV’s Francesca Cumani, who chose a green and pink palette, while Charlotte Hawkins opted for an off-the-rack cherry and violet bow peplum suit (order one for £1395 here).
Zara teamed the coat with a Sally Ann Provan ‘Mari’ saucer hat, costing £300. The hat features a moulded base which sits on the right-hand-side of the head, with the brim turning upwards, being thicker at the top. A leather bow (which is described as a lotus petal trim), is moulded around a quill and secured with a double pearl.
Of course Zara’s was made in black with a red bow, and in felt not sinamay. You can buy one in the pink and red colourway shown below here.
Once more, we saw the Segio Rossi knotted shoe boots. These feature a pointed toe, concave stiletto heel of 4 inches, a zip fastening to the rear and ruched, connected knots to the top of the foot. They are no longer available but originally sold for £780.
Zara carried a Paul Costelloe ‘Pony Serval’ tote bag in a deep red. Made with pony hair from the bottom section, it features a double top handle and optional shoulder strap, and a zip top, all with gold hardware. Inside there is a zip pockets, with mobile and card compartment. It retailed for £195 but is no longer available; you can view it here, however.
Zara chose her Calleja ‘Coronet’ earrings again, which are part of her own collection of jewellery with the brand. The ladder-style hoops feature pave-set diamonds in platinum and cost £4500 – available here.
Princess Anne’s daughter also wore a pair of black gloves, possibly wool or microfleece.
We loved this look from Zara, sticking to a basic colour scheme but adding a pop of red to keep it interesting. What did you think?
