Princess Beatrice made a speech at the WE Day annual charity event at Barclays Centre in New York. Princess Beatrice wore a striking two-tone pleated dress for the engagement.
Princess Beatrice wore the Mikael Aghal ‘Pleated two-tone’ crepe dress that originally retailed for £580. This stunning choice of dress has a rounded neckline and long sleeves, ending in fitted button cuffs. The bodice features darts and is fitted in at the waist. A gorgeous fit and flare box pleated knee length skirt highlights tones of pink underneath the pleats of red fabric. The dress is finished with contrasting pink piping around the neckline, shoulders, down the sleeves, cuff and waistline. The rear zip closure also features the pink contrast piping. We love everything about this dress and it is incredibly figure flattering, a favourite of ours from Beatrice. The dress has long sold out in stores, but is still available from the Outnet here.

Princess Beatrice teamed the dress with a pair of black suede double ankle strap block pumps with silver square buckles. An unusual choice of shoe for such a beautiful light, floaty and feminine frock. These pumps seem a little heavy and to weigh the dress down. Perhaps her pink and silver toe-cap Stewart Weitzman heels would be a nice match instead? We saw these shoes at Trooping and Royal Ascot earlier in the year (remind yourself here). Back to the black shoes, we think Beatrice may be wearing the Saint Laurent ‘Babies’ suede double ankle-strap pump style, but feel the strap on these may be too thin. What do you think?

Princess Beatrice appeared to carry a black box clutch, though this hard to make out in the photos available of the event. Beatrice accessorised with a series of gold chain link bracelets on each wrist.

We loved the fun and playful pink tones under the box pleats of the skirt of this dress. A fabulous dress and we hope to see it on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with a fabulous Beatrice topper.
