The Duke and Duchess of Sussex today visited Dubbo, an hour’s flight from Sydney to visit drought affected farmers and show their support for struggling Australian families. They got to experience a true Aussie Outback town. Harry and Meghan seemed to be a lucky charm, bringing the English weather with them and some much needed rain during their visit. Meghan was dressed in a country casual chic ensemble of a check blazer, white shirt and black jeans.

The Duchess wore a Serena Williams ‘Boss’ oversize blazer, retailing for a very reasonable £110. This loose fitting boyfriend style grey blazer has a fine printed houndstooth pattern, interwoven with red and blue check lines. The blazer has a peak lapel (not a notch as on the website), two button front closure, large patch pockets that sit against the hip and two button cuff.
This is a very nice tribute to her friend Serena to wear a piece from her clothing line. On the website, Serena describes the line as “Introducing Serena, my first independent clothing line for all the ladies out there being awesome. My designs are inspired by strong, sexy, sophisticated, sassy, sure, smart, stylish, silly, and spontaneous women who are living their best lives, or making it up as they go—kinda like me.”
It seems that Meghan may have upsized in each piece that she wore today with her jeans, jacket and shirt all appearing oversized. You can purchase the blazer here. Try this for an affordable replicate, purchase here.

The Duchess wore Maison Kitsune Oxford Fox Embroidery Classic Shirt, retailing for £152. This shirt has a short foldover pointed collar, button down front and single button cuff. This oversized loose fitting shirt has a masculine silhouette to it, almost like stealing your boyfriend’s shirt to wear around. The shirt has a very tiny white embroidered fox on the left hand side of the chest and is quite hard to see. A classic white shirt that can be worn with any outfit, either casual or dressed up. You can purchase the shirt here.

Meghan added another Australian designer to her list for the tour: she wore Outland Denim ‘Harriet Jeans’ in black, retailing for £109. The slightly faded skinny black jeans are available in two leg lengths of 28″ and 30″. The jeans are made from Organic Denim, with zip fly closure and five pockets. This Australian designer is a very interesting choice for The Duchess as it champions many of the causes that Meghan advocates for. You can purchase the jeans here. The founder of Outland Denim, after a trip to Asia seeing the detrimental affect of human trafficking, decided to help out where he could, employing women rescued from human trafficking as seamstresses for the company so that they could have a future and income. The company endeavours to “most ethically and environmentally sound raw materials, from organic cotton pocket linings to recycled packaging, and endeavour to verify our entire supply chain in alignment with the world’s best practices.” We love how amazing the story is behind these jeans and think it is a great choice from the Duchess.
Meghan debuted a new pair of boots. The J Crew ‘Sadie’ ankle boots, retailing for £170. A round toe, short block heel ankle boot with a rear zip closure with suede zip pull. These boots are a great piece and are fabulous on Meghan, unfortunately due to the nature of the Australian outback and farms suede boots probably aren’t the best option. Something more in a brown sturdy leather would stop the dirt and dust as you walked through the paddocks. We were worried might get her new boots all dusty or muddy with the rain. You can purchase the boots here.

Meghan wore her Adina Reyter ‘3 Diamond Amigos Curve Posts’, retailing for £380. A thin delicate 14kt gold arched post stud climber with three small varying sized diamonds incrementally placed along the arm. A very pretty of pair of earrings we have seen Meghan wear on a few occasions before. You can purchase the earrings here. Get a nice replicate here.
The Duchess of Sussex returned to her favourite fashion accessory trick of layered up her jewellery pieces. Today she wore a piece we have previously seen and a new piece by Australian designer Natalie Marie Jewellery. Meghan wore the ‘Precious Initial’ necklace, retailing for £272. The 14ct yellow gold necklace has a small disc charm with a raised milligrain edge. The disc is hand-engraved with a choice of an upper or lower case initial. You also have the option of an additional diamond inset. The necklace is also available in 14ct white or rose gold. You can purchase Meghan’s necklace here.

Meghan wore her Pascale Monvoisin ‘Cauri N°2’ in 9ct rose gold necklace, retailing for £258. A small 0.53ct black onyx cauri shell pendant hangs from a rose gold chain. The shell is inlaid with a tiny sparkly diamond. We saw this necklace for the first time on the Duchess about two weeks ago. This necklace is sold out, but you can still view it here.

We love the Duchess’ casual style and we always love a blazer with jeans for that casual yet refined edge. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will visit Melbourne tomorrow and we will bring all the fashion details for the Coffee Capital of Oz.
