Meghan wore a new pair of Tamara Mellon gold sandals. Meghan wore the ‘Mingle – Specchio’ style in Palatino colour-way, retailing for £417. The open toe sandals caused a little bit of a stir amongst Royal Fashion watchers as they felt perhaps these broke Royal Protocol, though we have seen the Duchess of Cambridge wear sandals on a few occasions as well.

Meghan returned to her Pacific Tour favourite jeweller Pippa Small, re-wearing one of the bangles we saw on the tour with the addition of three new pieces. Small is a jewellery designer whose pieces are handmade in Kabul by men and women of the Turquoise Mountain Foundation. Her designs are beautiful and elegant, showcasing the jewellery style of the middle eastern region, especially through the vivid yellow gold hammered metals and highlighting the natural wonder, earthiness and sparkle of the stones that are taken from the mountains in Afghanistan.

Meghan wore Pippa Small ‘Nosheen Stud Earrings,’ which retail at a very affordable £50. These 18kt gold on sterling silver vermeil earrings are quite plain in terms of what we are used to seeing the Duchess wear. Most of Meghan’s earring choices are bolder and full of diamonds. A nice change of pace.

We are not 100% sold on this outfit in the context of a Royal. We think that Meghan looked great and very appropriate for presenting at an award show as Meghan Markle, though a different choice of outfit for The Duchess of Sussex. There is always one important fashion rule to follow –> choose one piece of your body to show off and highlight that. For example if you want to show your legs cover your chest, if you want to highlight your shoulders cover your legs more. It is one way to help your outfit look polished and put together.
