The Countess of Wessex joined took a visit to Bristol Zoo today, with her husband Prince Edward, and children, Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn. She repeated a look we first saw in India to see the animals, on a particularly warm day.
Sophie chose her ARoss Girl ‘Brooke’ polka dot dress. It features puff sleeves with elasticated cuffs, a keyhole neck, and a self tie waist; the hem falls just past the knee. This piece is available here in a purple and green colour-way for $745.

We first saw the dress in India earlier this year. It’s a great piece for the Countess, and she clearly favours it for more informal events.

She paired the dress with Penelope Chilvers espadrille wedges again, the ‘high Mary Jane leather espadrille’. These white leather wedges are still available here for £149.

As ever, Sophie carried a bag from Sophie Habsburg. It was her blue, white and black snakeskin ‘Moneypenny’ clutch. The rectangular clutch features a shallow flap, with a triangle added to it to slot into the strap and hold it closed. We really like this funky piece for Sophie, although maybe it was a bit of a clash with the polka dots.
The bag costs €350 and is currently available in black pebble leather, python, leopard print and others; get one here.
The necklace we have been trying to get a good look at finally emerged today: a Patrick Mavros ‘Zozo Pair Silver Necklace’, costing £145. The sterling silver necklace features two small elephant pendants dangling from the chain. It was a sweet tribute, or nod, to the visit to the zoo.
Patrick Mavros is a label Sophie owns in a number of other jewellery items, including a hippo necklace. Get one here.

The Countess chose her Heavenly Necklaces ‘Circle of Love’ earrings, and a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses. More on these chic frames when we have it.

A great look for a summer’s day with the family. What did you think of Sophie’s outfit today?
