Beatrice and Eugenie attend Prince of Hanover’s wedding in floral dresses

Over the weekend the Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York have attended the Prince Christian of Hanover’s wedding, which took place in Lima, Peru. Their looks were a nice departure from their normal wedding attire of structured Burberry double breasted military coats, Nerida Fraiman or Sarah Cant fascinators and Wilbur and Gussie clutches. The sisters opted for a lighter summery look in soft, floaty feminine floral dresses.

Princess Eugenie wore the Alice and Olivia ‘Coco’ plunging v-neck midi dress in green and yellow floral print. The dress has a deep v-neckline, long sheer blouson sleeves with elasticised cuffs, self-tie belt, and drapes to a midi length, in a large yellow floral motif. It also has a rear zip closure, is semi lined and is made from a viscose/silk blend. The dress was part of the 2017 collection originally available at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodmans.

You can purchase an almost identical Alice and Olivia Dress in light blue here and in black here. You can also purchase a great replicate for only £20 here!

Princess Eugenie wore the Aquazurra ‘Matilde’ crisscross heels in nude retailing for £528. These pointed toe 4 inch pumps feature a covered heel counter, adjustable crisscross ankle straps with gold hardware ends that can tied neatly in a bow at either the front or rear of the ankle, depending on the preference of the wearer. These are the same style heels that Meghan Markle wore for her engagement announcement. Eugenie’s are about one shade lighter than Meghan’s. I wonder if they share shoes? You can still buy these heels on sale.

Eugenie also carried a Chloe ‘Nile’ minaudière leather cross-body bag retailing for £1,050. This half moon shaped bag is crafted from smooth black leather, features a “door-knob” inspired oversize style handle, is accented with chunky gold toned hardware and studs. A detachable strap can also be used to wear the bag over the shoulder in a  cross-body style. The Nile Bag is also known as a Chloe Bracelet bag because of the gold round handle that fits over the wearers wrist like a bracelet.

Princess Beatrice, meanwhile, wore a Whistles ‘Adalynn’ embroidered dress, retailing for £195. This navy shirred off the shoulder dress has an on trend bardot neckline and fitted waist. Beatrice wore her Jimmy Choo ‘Daphne 120’ velvet ankle-wrap sandal in navy, retailing for £725. These heels are a platform pump with ankle strap and gold hardware buckle. Whilst these shoes do appear to be quite high and may put some women off from wearing them, the block heel heels make the heel more sturdy to walk on and the ankle strap helps to make sure the heels doesn’t slip off your foot.

A favourite heel of Beatrice’s, we most recently saw her wear these at the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange hosted by The Duchess of Cambridge and The Countess of Wessex. Find a great replicate for only £71 here.

Princess Beatrice was also carrying a black blazer and a black mini pouch with detachable strap, though she has removed this from her bag. Possibly an Anya Hindmarch zip top black pouch similar to this one at Farfetch, or Smythson Panama mini cross-body bag see image below. You can buy the Smythson bag here, here or in navy here. You can purchase a great replicate of her bag here.

For the evening reception both Princesses changed into evening gowns.

Princess Beatrice wore a look from Tommy Hilfiger, released for Autumn/Winter 2016, though she kept the same shoes and top zip pouch from the day. Princess Beatrice’s dress appears to be a  modified version of the runway dress. The rounded peter-pan collar has been removed, a small v-neckline has been added and the dress is fully lined and is not sheer as seen on the model. This dress features double breasted gold rope embroidery in a nautical theme down to the waist-line.

She added a black studded belt to create a bit of an edge to the dress. She has previously worn this belt to the Epsom Derby in 2013. Princess Beatrice accessorised with  a pair of statement navy pom-pom quadruple drop earrings in graduating sizes.

Princess Eugenie wore a Peter Pilotto cold-shouldered embroidered ‘Cady’ gown. This maxi embroidered gown features a blue and yellow “squiggly” pattern inspired by the signature squiggles of artist Jean Cocteau. The gown has long self-tie belt, side panels of teal, delicate shoulder straps and flounces through the sleeves and skirt. This was Look 3 from the Pre-Fall 2017 Collection.

Eugenie has previously worn this dress to Chiltern Fire House. This dress has also been worn by actress Thandie Newton. You can still purchase this dress on sale for £1,390 here.

She wore a pair of Gianvito RossiPlexi” 105 Pumps in grey, retailing for £525. These pointed-toe heels feature a silver toe cap and covered heel counter and they have a transparent side panel. These are shoes I have always liked the look of, but not the idea of wearing, I fear they would make your feet a little too hot! These shoes are currently sold out. However you can purchase a pair of metallic/suede grey Plexi pumps here and a lighter grey metallic Plexi pump here.

Princess Eugenie accessorised with large black stud drop oval hoop earrings. You can get a very affordable replicate pair for only £6 here.

She looked to be carrying the same top zip pouch as her sister though with the strap attached, which I believe may be by Smythson – the panama mini cross-body bag. You can purchase this bag here.
