The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise visit to the Hubb Community Kitchen today, a charity that Meghan has really taken to heart, helping to create a cookbook with the women there, to raise funds to keep the kitchen going. The Duchess was dressed in a smart burgundy outfit for the engagement.

Meghan wore a Club Monaco ‘Sallyet Dress,’ retailing for £283.53. This is a shift dress style in a straight silhouette, with a pointed down collar in contrasting rich burgundy velvet. Long sleeves are finished in cuffed buttoned sleeves. The mini dress skirt is quite a departure from the longer lengths we are used to seeing from Meghan, sitting above the knee. The rear of the dress has a hidden zip closure with double hook and eye closure at the back of the collar. The dress is made from polyester and is fully lined.

Meghan also choose a Club Monaco ‘Daylina’ coat, retailing for £434, a striking and well tailored minimalist coat. A deep v-neckline moves away from a very exaggerated and side cut lapel collar. The coat has peaked shoulders with long sleeves, features two buttons at the waist and diagonal welt pockets. The rear of the coat has a back-centre seam and vent for ease of movement. The coat is a wool/polyester blend. The beautiful coat falls to just below the knee and is a perfect staple piece for a winter wardrobe.

Meghan wore a funky pair of Givenchy Boots. The ‘GV3 Leather And Suede Heeled Ankle Boots,’ which cost £707. These sleekly designed contrasting boots, have a black leather pointed toe with plunging v-cut at the front of the boot. A black suede heel and heel cover reaches up to a pointed heel tab. This is not just an interesting bit of design to make the boots look more ‘street’ but is also there for the practically of helping you pull your boots on easier. The boots have a short tapered heel, much lower than the sky-high stilettos we are so familiar with on Meghan. We love these different style of ankle boots and think that they look perfect with the choice of shift dress.

The Duchess opted for a new ring, the Meredith Hann ‘Jamie Love’ ring, retailing for a very affordable £55. We know that Meghan likes to mix up her ring style quite a lot, and this 14kt yellow gold wire letter love ring is no different. The price point of this ring is considerably less than most of the Duchess’ other pieces. This ring will take 3-4 weeks to ship once ordered.

It appears that the Duchess may have been wearing her Birks ‘Gold Bar’ earrings, though there is some debate whether these are actually a different pair of gold bar earrings as they appear to be a little too thin for the Birks earrings. We will update you when we know more about the ID for these.
