For her second day in Sweden, The Duchess of Cambridge repeated Catherine Walker and another controversial Erdem dress. Read about her and William’s day here.
Beginning the day, Kate chose a bespoke Catherine Walker houndstooth coat in red and white. It featured large red buttons, arranged in twos, to the front and a simple silhouette.

It was teamed with an Alexander McQueen shift dress in white boucle; this was another custom piece made for Kate, but used a fabric from the brand’s current line.
The dress features long sleeves and falls just above the knee; shift dresses have been favoured by the Duchess throughout all of her pregnancies.
Kate chose her Tod’s fringe loafer-style heels for the occasion and matched it with her Chanel bag, that she debuted in Paris last year. It was the calfskin bag with enamel handle.

Her pearl drop earrings were by Swedish brand, In2 and cost $152 (around £107); they are the ‘baroque’ design, and each pair are unique (and mismatched!).

To keep warm, the Duchess chose a pair of Cornelia James ‘Imogen’ gloves in brown, and also wore brown-toned tights.
For the evening reception, Kate opted for a new blue velvet dress from Erdem, the ‘Christina’; straight from the runway, it features a floral pattern in velvet, flared sleeves, a flared skirt from the waist, high-neck and contrasting plain trim to the neck, waist and (deep) hem, also running part way up the bust.

This was matched with her Gianvito Rossi d’Orsay heels – also first seen in Paris – and a new pair of earrings shown off by Kate’s updo. Created by Robinson Pelham, who created the Duchess’ wedding earrings. From the ‘Oxygen’ collection, the ‘Aspen’ large tear-drop hoops are studded with diamonds. The are still available and cost £4,900.

Lastly, we spotted Kate in a black Ida Sjöstedt coat as she left, paired with those Troy London cuffs. The midi piece features black embroidery to the hemline, a fur collar and a full skirt.
This brand is worn regularly by the Swedish royal women, including Princess Sofia on her wedding day.
