The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge got their first official day of engagements of Royal Tour Pakistan underway by visiting Model College for Girls, a school in Islamabad. Continuing on from her arrival outfit of a shalwar kameez, Kate once again gave a nod to her host country by wearing a traditional kurta and trousers in bright cerulean blue.

The Duchess wore a kurta by local designer Maheen Khan. The flowing, loose blue long-sleeve tunic featured delicate white embroidery around the v-neckline, reaching to just below the knee with a split from the hip to the knee. Under the tunic, Kate wore a pair of straight leg, blue trousers. This is a very traditional look in Pakistan and the kurta or kurti for women originated in South Asia, being worn for everyday and formal looks.

Catherine also wore a scarf by the same designer Maheen Khan. The Duchess wore the light blue ombre scarf – a jora – over her shoulder, mimicking the traditional dress.

The Duchess wore a pair of shoes from New Look – ‘Wide Fit faux suede low block heeled shoes’ in tan, retailing for only £23.99. The pointed toe shoe has a covered toe vamp with exposed heels and criss-cross strap with rounded buckle around the ankle. If you hurry you can still purchase the shoes here in some sizes.

These low block heels are quite reminiscent of a similar style Kate wore on the Royal Tour of India, and if you looked really closely, you may have noticed that in fact Kate did change from the New Look shoes into those exact Russell and Bromley pair worn in India.

Kate wore Zeen ‘Beaded Chandelier Earrings’, that we have already seen her wear when she arrived in Pakistan. The double drop beaded earrings feature open work circles with white and blue beads in a tear drop shape. The earrings retail for only £7.82 and you can purchase the earrings here.

We loved seeing another traditional look on the Duchess for the tour, a great look.
