The Duchess of Sussex was joined by her mother Doria Ragland and Prince Harry to launch a new cookbook “Together” created by women from the Hubb Kitchen, a project that supports Grenfell Tower survivors. Meghan wrote the foreword to the book and wore a stunning blue coat for the reception.

The Duchess chose a coat by Smythe, one of her favourite Canadian brands. She wore the ‘Peaked Lapel’ coat retailing for £900 in a colour described as ‘Zephyr’. The colour Zephyr is also referred to as a blue-grey tone. This longline coat features oversized peaked lapels with a notched collar that reaches almost to the waistline, two single breasted black buttons, three buttons on each sleeve cuff and diagonal on-seam pockets. The fabric of the coat is gaberdine and is constructed from sleekly tailored panels, a rear vent and is fully lined.
We adore this coat on The Duchess and hope to see it many more times. You can purchase this coat here. You can get a very affordable replicate here.

Meghan chose a Tuxe ‘Renegade’ black bodysuit, retailing for a more affordable £83. The sleeveless ribbed turtle neck bodysuit is made from a super soft blend of modal/spandex with a detachable nylon/spandex panty with three hook and eye closures. A bodysuit is a very smart fashion choice, as it creates sleek lines under a skirt and does not have the lines or bunching when a shirt or top is tucked in. A go-to basic for any woman’s wardrobe. Meghan wore a Misha Nonoo ‘Saturday Skirt’, retailing for £189. This is a gorgeous, elegant and feminine midi-length skirt that can be dressed up for work or made more casual for a weekend outing. The accordion pleated piece has thin white trim at the waist and hemline and features a grosgrain waistband, is made from polyester and has a side zipper and clasp closure.
A very interesting note on the website alludes to the fact that this skirt is made to order and there is not stock piled in a warehouse waiting to be purchased. “Sustainable, luxury fashion exactly when you want it. This garment is cut and sewn within 10 days of placing your order and delivered directly to you. It’s that simple.” You can purchase this skirt here. Get an affordable replicate here.

Meghan wore her Sarah Flint ‘Jay 100’ Pumps, retailing for £298. We have seen Meghan were these pumps on a few occasions, such as the dawn ANZAC service (article here). Made from black suede with a 4 inch or 100mm tortoise shell heel, the textured tapered heel and v pointed toe give this heel a very distinctive look. We love the mix of materials in these heels. A great classic pump that can be matched with many outfits. You can purchase these heels here.

The Duchess did not carry a bag or accessorise with any earrings. Though it appears Meghan may have worn one her Catbird NYC ‘Threadbare Rings’ retailing for £40. You can purchase the ring here.
We love this look from Meghan, she looked very well put-together. The beautiful pop of blue from the coat and the soft flowing pleated skirt combines for an effortless look. We were actually a little disappointed that Meghan chose to remove her coat for the speech as it was so pretty!
