Kate’s new coat came from Emilia Wickstead, in a baby blue. It had all the marks of an EW piece, with the flared, full skirt, and nipped in waist with wide waistband.

The coat was made from crepe, with wide lapels, and it wrapped around enough to conceal what the Duchess was wearing beneath. It does look very similar to her other Wickstead coat, the green one worn to the St Patrick’s Day parade, but the change of fabric is a nice update and appropriate for the warmer weather.

She teamed this with one of her new favourite bags, the cream woven piece from Etui, and her LK Bennett ‘Fern’ heels, the higher of the two regularly-used pairs of nude heels, in a matte leather.

For jewellery, we saw a new pair of earrings on Catherine, another from Kiki McDonough. These topaz drop earrings are 18ct white gold with a rounded stone as the stud and a large rounded-square for the drop, connected with a diamond.

She also chose her Mappin & Webb Empress necklace. you can also see a hint of glitter to the Duchess’ eye makeup – a glittery eyeliner perhaps? It seems to be a pale grey, which would fit in well with the colour palette.
