There was a new coat in town today, as The Duchess of Cambridge visited Reach Academy.
Kate debuted a navy military-style coat from Hobbs, with a popular maternity dress.
The coat is the sold-out ‘Gianna’ french navy piece from the high-street label, Hobbs. It RRP’d for approximately £200 (last seen on the House of Fraser site) and is a wool-rayon mix.
With double-breasted pewter buttons, a large notched collar and full skirt with pleat detail to the back, the piece is lovely, but quite similar to a number of pieces Catherine already owns.
The Duchess rewore a dress used in her previous pregnancies: the ‘Florrie‘ dress from Seraphine.
In a blue and green floral print on stretchy fabric, the piece is a simple fit and flare shape (but with curved empire line for a growing bump), with half-sleeves. It is still available for £65 and all of the brand’s clothing is made for both during and post-pregnancy (but why not pre- too!).
Kate teamed the look with her Jimmy Choo ‘Georgia’ heels, which feature a thicker heel – debuted at the Tower of London in 2014 – and her LK Bennett ‘Frome’ clutch, which she has had for a number of years.
She also carried Cornelia James gloves, and wore her sapphire and diamond earrings, supposedly the reworked pair belonging to Diana.
