The Earl and Countess of Wessex have officially been welcomed on their Royal Visit to Estonia to celebrate 100 years of friendship between the UK and Estonia. Sophie wore an old, but classic, Catherine Walker design.
The Countess wore a Catherine Walker wrap coat dress. The asymmetric style of coat dress is made from wool crepe and features delicate pintucks diagonally spaced across the bodice. The fit-and-flare coat dress has a half funnel neck and peaked shoulders with what appears to be a slight flare to the cuff of the sleeve. The coat dress shown by Catherine Walker is in a vibrant red-colour way though, we would describe the Countess’ bespoke design more as watermelon.
Sophie has had this coat dress for a number of years. Unfortunately, Catherine Walker no longer displays this coat dress on her website. The only coat currently online in a similar design is the Wellington, shown in the image below. If you really like this look you can always contact Catherine Walker to enquire, price is upon application. Try this for a get the look, purchase here.
Sophie carried her Sophie Habsburg clutch in beige. The trapeze shaped clutch is made from a beige snakeskin and has a small envelope style flap closure. Sophie’s bespoke clutch does not feature the gold toned hardware snake accessory. These clutches are part of a previous collection and no longer available. It was pearls for the day’s jewellery: Sophie accessorised with her Dior Mise En Dior Pearl Crystal Brooch and matching Mise En Dior Pearl Crystal earrings. The brooch is shaped in an oval dome with clusters of pearls and crystals in rows. We have seen the Countess wear the brooch on a handful of occasions, an she like to mix up the placement of the brooch, sometimes vertically and other times like today horizontally. The pearl cluster earrings show pearls in varying sizes set in gold on an arched branch. These earrings appear to be post studs. Try this incredibly budget friendly option at under £4! Purchase here.
We did not get to see the Countess’ shoes, but would guess they would be nude leather pointed-toe court heels from Prada or Gianvito Rossi.
UPDATE: We found this picture of the Countess, and it confirms she wore a pair of nude pointed Prada heels in a lower height.
