Countess of Wessex hosts Digitising Purpose Forum in Victoria Beckham

The Countess of Wessex hosted a Digitising Purpose Forum yesterday, bringing together many people of her patronages to discuss how Digital Technologies can be used to assist their causes. The Countess spoke at the forum dressed in a cream Victoria Beckham ensemble.

Sophie wore an Victoria, Victoria Beckham ‘Pleated-skirt woven midi dress’, this is a piece from Victoria Beckham’s diffusion line, meaning it is a little more affordable than the standard Victoria Beckham line. It appears to be a top and skirt ensemble, however it is actually an all-in-one dress and quite unusual.

The dress combines a sleeveless oversized long line cream blouse with a rounded neckline, a front yoke, large double-breasted pointed flap patch pockets and rear zip closure. The top’s hem hits around the top of the thigh. A dropped waist moves into the cream coloured midi length skirt with sharp folded knife pleats. The pleated skirt is pretty and appears to move fluidly. We find the styling of this dress a bit of side-step for the Countess – it does not really fit in with her normal sleek and tailored look. Perhaps just a pleated white midi skirt with a different coloured blouse in a pastel pink or rose colour to match the hues in her handbag would have given the ensemble a soft feminine style and tucking in the blouse (if they were separates) for that polished look. The dress is sold out, though you can still view it here. You can buy a similar style of dress here.

Sophie debuted a new floral tote today from Kate Spade. The ‘Thompson Street Fabric Sam Bag’, originally retailing for £268 is now on sale for £134. This top handle satchel is a re-release of Kate Spade original black satchel. It has been re-made to celebrate the 25th Anniversary in various prints. Sophie’s bag is in a cherry blossom print, of pink red and purple flowers with green foliage. The bag is constructed from a mix of jute/linen/rayon, has top zipper, dual interior zipper pockets, interior slide pockets and a detachable strap. It is very refreshing to see Sophie carrying a bright coloured and patterned bag to her usual beige clutches. We hope to see more of this in the future. You can purchase this bag here, or if you like the print but not the shape/style of the bag, the brand has other bags in the fabric; try thistote, this mini bag or this clutch.

It was another outing for the Countess’ Prada beige pointed court heels, which she has worn to numerous engagements over the past year. Sophie’s favourite type of heels are a neutral colour pointed toe court, that feature a lower heel height, normally of 80mm. Get a great copy of the look here.

Sophie accessorised with her ‘S’ pendant necklace, her Tiffany ‘T’ Square bracelet, her Skagen Ladies Two-Tone watch, and pink stone Monica Vinader ‘Siren’ earrings.

A very different look from Sophie for this engagement. We think this is more weekend market with flats and a straw tote style, than royal engagement… Did you like Sophie’s Victoria Beckham look?
