Princess Beatrice is regal in blue Ralph and Russo for Royal Wedding

Princess Beatrice performed Maid of Honour duties for her sister Princess Eugenie’s Royal Wedding at St George’s Chapel back in October. Beatrice was striking in a deep purple tailored suit from Ralph and Russo.

With Harry and Meghan’s tour Down Under, we almost missed this key outfit of the day!

Princess Beatrice wore a custom Ralph and Russo navy skirt suit. Beatrice’s jacket is a modified version of one shown on the Spring Summer 2016 Couture Runway. The asymmetric wrap fitted blazer has a scooped shawl collar, cinched waist belt, peplum flared hem, and fitted bracelet length sleeves. The telling mark of a bracelet length sleeve, is it finishs just above the wrist, to allow you to see a women’s bracelet, hence bracelet length sleeve. A three quarter length sleeve will finish at the elbow or just below.  The runway piece had a dramatic embellished neckline of matching purple feathers. A jacket from the Autumn/Winter 2017/2018 features the same shawl collar as Princess Beatrice’s piece.

Princess Beatrice wore a matching Ralph and Russo a-line silhouette skirt with a flirty knee-length fluted skirt, that dances around the leg as the wearer moves. Beatrice’s ensemble is a very restrained look from the Australian design duo of Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo who are well known for their ostentatious styling, over the top bows, swirling shoulder and skirt details, tiered embellished dresses, sweeping lace gowns and ultra feminine sheer gowns.

Beatrice carried Ralph and Russo ‘Alina Clutch,’ in dove grey napa leather, retailing for £1,780. The clutch has a double flap front with the outer peak trimmed in contrasting silver ‘v’ hardware. A silver metallic feather inspired by a swan adorns the top of the bag in an arched detail to create the perfect handle. The feather is first carved from a wax mould before being formed in metal. The bag has two internal compartments with an optional silver chain shoulder strap. The Alina clutch comes in a range of colours and materials with either silver or gold metallic feather.

Princess Beatrice wore one of her go to milliners Sarah Cant. Beatrice wore a custom headband in a contrasting light and dark purple headband.  The smaller headpiece was quite a surprise from Beatrice, as she normally likes to go quite bold with her headwear. We know that the raised headband style is quite in at the moment with milliners and other Royals such as The Duchess of Cambridge, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Princess Mary of Denmark all wearing this style of millinery.
