Duchess of Sussex in Givenchy and towering ring stacks at Princess Eugenie’s wedding

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the royal nuptials of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank at the same chapel they were married in a few months previously, inside the grounds of Windsor Castle. The Duchess chose a navy Givenchy ensemble for her look, plus a number of stacks of rings.

Meghan wore a new Givenchy navy wool-cashmere coat, which is a bespoke half-funnel neck front button through coat. The midi length piece has striking large navy flat disc buttons all down the front of the coat, with Meghan only wearing the first two done up. The coat also features two flap pockets set against the hip.

We believe that Meghan was wearing a matching Givenchy navy shift dress under her coat. Hopefully we will get to see this coat in more detail at a later date. Get a nice replicate here.

A new bag for the Duchess at the wedding, Meghan carried a Givenchy ‘GV3 Nano’ leather belt bag, retailing for £820. The oxblood grained leather is punctuated with vibrant electric blue suede. The front flap handbag opens into three internal compartments with coin slip, card slip and front pocket. The bag features the silver toned hardware Givenchy double ‘G’ magnetic closure with engraved ‘Givenchy Paris’ and optional chain shoulder strap. We aren’t great fans of the muted and vibrant colour combinations. Did you like this bag? You can purchase Meghan’s bag here.

Meghan debuted a new fascinator from Noel Stewart Millinery. Noel Stewart is a fashion-forward London based milliner, who creates looks for many international runway designers. This is a small disc navy sinamay fascinator, trimmed in thin pointed sinamay curls that curved in opposite directions from the centre of the fascinator that almost gave a feel of feathers. Meghan’s fascinator is bespoke and unavailable for purchase. We show some Noel Stewart Designs. You can view some of the current collection here.

We love that Meghan is experimenting with different milliners and trying to learn what styles and designers suit her the best, and it seems she favours the smaller percher and pillbox cocktail hats; we can’t wait for her try something more dramatic, like a saucer hat or an upturned brim piece from Phillip Treacy.

The back details of Meghan’s fascinator

Meghan wore her Manolo Blahnik BB Navy Suede Heels, retailing for £620. The classic suede pointed toe court heels feature Manolo’s distinctive Tora heel at a height of 100mm. We have seen Meghan wear these at The Queen’s birthday concert in April. You can purchase Meghan’s heels here. Try this as an affordable option, purchase here.

The Duchess of Sussex also carried a pair of Prada navy nappa leather gloves with triangle gold embossed fashion house logo. We have seen Meghan carry gloves to quite a few royal engagements, but only wear them once: at Sandringham for Christmas 2017.

Prada Navy Leather Gloves

Meghan accessorised with jewellery from Pippa Small, she wore 3 rings, a bracelet and pair of earrings from the brand. The term ‘go big, or go home’ truly comes to mind with Meghan’s achievement in bold statement accessories for this occasion. On her Twitter page, Pippa Small is described as “Pippa Small MBE – Ethical Jewellery Designer, Anthropologist, Human Rights Activist, Survival Ambassador” all the things that Meghan is socially conscious about.

Meghan wore the Pippa Small ‘Herkimer Almost’ Ring, retailing for £2,150. This ring looked like Meghan had stacked up many, many rings. However, it turns out that the ring is actually just one, made up of thin delicate 18kt gold open bands, ending with architecturally shaped diamonds of 1ct. Due to it’s popularity, this ring has already sold out, though you can still view it here.

Pippa Small Herkimer Almost’ Ring

Meghan wore the Pippa Small ‘Single Row Blush Ring’, retailing for £440. The ring features a series of different sized and coloured gems of pale pink and purples set in 18kt gold in a continuous band of interlinked loops; this makes the ring soft and not solid as with other rings. You are in luck as this ring is still available to purchase here.

Meghan also wore the Pippa Small ‘Herkimer Diamond Cup Ring’ retailing for £995 and the Pippa Small ‘Herkimer Diamond Greek Ring’, retailing for £4,470.  The greek ring, features a large rough cut diamond set in uneven 18kt gold. The Herkimer Diamond Cup ring is available here and you can purchase the Greek ring here.

Pippa Small Herkimer Diamond Cup Ring and Herkimer Greek Ring

Meghan wore Pippa Small ‘Herkimer’ diamond stud earrings, retailing for £450. Set in 18kt gold these earrings feature 2.30ct of raw-cut Herkimer diamonds. Therefore, each pair of earrings may look slightly different due to their irregular shape. Due to the popularity of these earrings they have already sold out, though you can still view them here. Finally, Meghan accessorised with a Pippa Small ‘Herkimer diamond bracelet’, set in 18kt gold retailing for £2,200. The bracelet has a hook closure and we hope that Meghan has a bespoke piece and asked for a spring clasp closure; it seems the hook is not very secure and could come loose, meaning you could loose a £2K bracelet very easily…! This bracelet, like the rest of the pieces that Meghan wore is sold out, though you can still view this piece here.

Whilst we feel the Duchess looked very beautiful, we are a little disappointed that Meghan choose not to wear a British designer for a British royal wedding.
