Yesterday evening, Princess Eugenie attended the Colonel’s Review at Horseguards Parade, with her mother, Sarah, and sister Princess Beatrice. The Duke of York took the salute at the Colonel’s review yesterday, as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards. The review is the final dress rehearsal before Trooping the Colour (next Saturday). Princess Eugenie chose a contrasting yellow and pink outfit.
Eugenie chose a sunny yellow guipure dress from Maje. The ‘Long Dress in Guipure’ dress features a fitted bodice with round neckline and short sleeves, both with edges formed by the circular pattern of the fabric, giving a scalloped effect. The skirt flares from the wait, with a number of flat box pleats. The dress zips up to the rear. It costs £315 and is available here and here.
While there is a shift dress beneath, the lining ends mid-thigh; this is something we have seen in a few of Eugenie’s outfits recently, and we think it would look more pulled-together if she had these linings lengthened.
She teamed this with a pink headband from Fernanda Lewis, the ‘Veiled Knot in pink tweed’ headband. Featuring a large central knot and matching pink netting, the headband was a nice contrast to the dress. It costs £110 and is available here.
Eugenie carried her distinct M2MALLETIER ‘Amor Fati’ bag, opting for neutral shoes too. The bag is an angular envelope style piece, and features the label’s signature gold ‘needle’ handle. Eugenie opted to not use the shoulder strap. This piece is sold out, but still available in black here, or in other colours in the smaller size.
We can just see that Eugenie wore a pair of nude patent heels for the event; they have a distinct pencil heel of approximately 100mm with a dark (brown or black?) and a very pointy toe. The additionally have a high-cut vamp, coming up slightly higher on the outside of the foot, as you can see in the second photo. We will update when we find them!
