Meghan Markle’s first engagement in Nottingham

For her first ever engagement as the fiancee of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle today went for an autumnal look in Nottingham, in a navy maxi coat, maxi skirt, turtleneck and black boots. Read about the day here.

Meghan was wearing a Joseph skirt beneath her Mackage navy maxi coat. The coat has trench coat features with its double breasted buttons, epaulettes and ties around the wrists. It is made of a wool-mix.

The skirt is fitted in the waist through to the thighs, then pleating out into more fabric giving a full effect. It is described as ‘camel’ but it looks pale green to me! It is currently in stock in a few sizes, costing £595. Meghan added a thin belt to pull the look together.

She teamed the skirt with a black turtle neck, perhaps in a jersey fabric.

Her handbag was the tri-colour’ tote from Strathberry in navy, burgundy and cream. It is currently out of stock, but the British (Scottish) brand aims to restock the piece, which cost £495.

We haven’t identified her boots yet, but they are black suede calf/knee-high boots, ruched in the leg with a pointed toe and cone heel. We will update you when we know more about them.

What did you think of her first ‘official’ outfit? We think she pulled off smart-casual very well!

You can copy Meghan’s style with these.
