Prince William steals the limelight from Kate’s glittering Jenny Packham gown in Pakistan

Barley a sideways sartorial glance does poor Prince William ever get when he is on a Royal Tour in his sensible white shirts, navy knit jumpers, tan trousers and brown suede lace up shoes. Prince William kind of has the daddy-dressing-down look most of the time, slightly polished but still very…dad. We see the odd Daniel Craig 007 glimpse when he dresses in a tux for the BAFTA’s, but Williams wardrobe still needs a tweak or two or at least a good tailored cuff break in his trousers for a start.

However, William wowed the crowds last night when he turned up with his glamorous and always fashionable wife the Duchess of Cambridge in a tuk-tuk, wearing a traditional sherwani suit. Kate was glittering in a teal sequin gown by her go to evening wear designer Jenny Packham.

Now on to what Kate wore. The Duchess was stunning in the full sequinned ‘Georgia’ gown by Jenny Packham, retailing for £3,640. The floor length gown is part of the Autumn/Winter 2019 Collection, featuring a sweeping train, with rounded neckline, peak shoulders and long fitted sleeves with zips at the wrists to help ease getting into the gown. The fitted bodice moves to a very gradual flare of the skirt to the ground, and closes with a rear zip. This gown is very glitzy and features even further embellished with a spray of beading around the neckline and over the chest and a beaded and embellished waistband. You can purchase the dress here.

The Duchess was as stunning as we have come to expect from her, but it was her husband Prince William who really won the award for best dressed. The colour matching was also very cute!
