Yesterday, The Duchess of Sussex attended the US Oopen to see friend Serena Williams on court. Meghan went for a casual look opting for a denim dress.
The Duchess of Sussex’s new dress was from J Crew, their ‘Denim shirtdress with tie belt’. The piece features long sleeves, two breast pockets, a self-tie belt and contrast western-style topstitching; it retailed $118 (approx £96) for but has sold out since yesterday when Meghan appeared in the piece. You can view it here, or try this or this for a great match.
She wore a cardigan over her shoulders, which also came from J Crew. This was the ‘Juliette’ collarless sweater blazer, which features two patch pockets to the hip, a relaxed fit and a fold lapel. Meghan’s grey colour is sold out on their site, but available in various other shades, such as burgundy, cream, navy and pink. We show it below in camel.
Meghan accessorised with her Jennifer Meyer turquoise earrings, made from 18kt gold, and a new necklace, which looks to be from Mini Mini Jewelry: two of their 14kt dog tag pendants, featuring a H and an M. Both have a small diamond embedded into the top corner to add a touch of sparkle. These are customisable to either come with a chain, or alone, in different metals, and you can choose the stone too, based on birth months.
Get the earrings here, for £330, and the dog tags here, which range from $134.99 to $249.99 (approx £109-£203) dependent on your customisation choices.
Meghan’s stone would be peridot for August, and Harry’s is sapphire, although they look like clear stones in photos, perhaps to keep it neutral.
Hanging on her dress were a pair of Victoria Beckham Navigator Power glasses, costing £325. The feature a top bridge across the nose, a gold V on the tortoiseshell arms, and a graduated lens colour. Get a pair here.
Pictures show the Duchess carrying her CH Carolina Herrera ‘Matryoshka’ large shoulder bag. The taupe leather bag is the largest of this set, each designed to sit neatly within one another, like matryoshka – or Russian dolls. It features a lock fastening to the front, in a brushed metal finish.
We didn’t see Meghan’s shoes, sadly.
What did you think to this look? We love the dress!
