Duchess Meghan chooses Brandon Maxwell dress & Burberry trench

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined the New Zealand Prime Minister to visit Pillars today. If you scrolled through your social media quickly today, you might think the Duchess of Sussex was wearing her Karen Gee dress and Martin Grant trench during the walkabout with the Prince Harry and Jacinda Ardern. However, the Duchess is trying to see if we are paying close attention to her wardrobe, as she donned a Brandon Maxwell dress and Burberry Trench.

Meghan wore a Burberry ‘Maythorne Mulberry Silk Trench’, costing £504, which is a classic style of military beige Burberry trench. The added detail of the bishop sleeve gives a twist to the normal silhouette, to create a gently puffed looking sleeve, ending in belted cuffs. The trench has a pointed convertible collar with hook-and-bar throat latch, to keep the trench snuggly done up. There are also button shoulder epaulettes, front gunflaps that are button downed, and an oversized rear storm flap. The trench has long vertical buttoned down pockets and a removable belt with buckle and hanging D-ring details, one at the front and two at the back. We have seen Meghan wear this coat before but not on official engagements.

Meghan’s trench is sold out though you can still view it here. Try this to get the look for less here.

Meghan chose a Brandon Maxwell ‘Cream Shift Midi’ dress to go underneath. The dress has a boat neck style and falls past the knee. The dress has a very minimalistic sleek silhouette, skimming the body closely to show an ultra-feminine figure. Of course, it also showed off her growing bump, with the royal baby expected next spring. We believe this is a custom piece and would most closely resemble the yellow Brandon Maxwell that the Duchess has previously worn – remind yourself here.

Meghan wore her Stuart Weitzman ‘Legend Pump’ (£528) in haze beige colour-way. We have seen Meghan wear these timeless pointed toe suede stiletto pumps frequently and shows just how much of a versatile staple piece they are. Today, they helped her keep a nude palette.

Meghan again wore her Boh Rugna ‘Disco Logo’ earrings, retailing for £169. These 9ct yellow gold disc earrings were gifted to Meghan by the New Zealand Prime Minister and feature the iconic feather kiss and droplet design. The feathers are those from the New Zealand Huia bird, now extinct.  You can purchase these earrings here.
