Meghan meets the King of Morroco in printed gown

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended an evening reception to meet the King of Morocco and his family to formally end their visit to the country. Meghan wore a blue printed gown by Carolina Herrera.

The long pale blue flowing Carolina Herrera gown was custom designed for the Duchess and modified from the runway to accommodate the Duchess’ pregnancy. This was  the ‘Floral Print Silk Chiffon Short Sleeve Gown’, retailing for £2,517. The runway piece features a high empire elasticated waist line, though this was lowered to sit under the Duchess bump and elastic removed. You can still pre-order the Duchess dress at M’Oda Operandi for the next month. Pre-order here.

The pretty gown features a contrasting navy bold print of large scale floral and leaf pattern motif, which the label has described as ‘lavender and sapphire’. The gown has feminine whimsical flutter half sleeves.

As the Duchess walked she held up her gown and one side showing the bright blue silk lining of the gown. The runway piece was quite sheer so this was a good move.

Meghan carried her Dior ‘D-Bee Gold Satin Cutch’. We like that the Duchess has packed light for this trip and reused her evening bags rather than having a new one for each engagement. The gold satin flap clutch is adorned with a pretty gold and crystal encrusted bee. The bee hardware could be mistaken for Gucci who is known for incorporating bees into their designs or even the bee brooch available to add to a bespoke Wilbur and Gussie Charlie clutch we know Princess Beatrice carries.

We think that Meghan re-wore the same Aquazzura leather pumps that she wore on her arrival to Morocco. You can purchase the pumps on sale for £322 here.

The Duchess wore her Cartier ‘Galanterie de Cartier’ earrings. We haven’t seen these earrings for awhile. They were the Duchess’ favourite pair to wear in the first few months after her wedding and we believe that they were a wedding gift.

Meghan also added a few rings to the look. She opted for some of her Birks pieces, the Snowflake ring in rose gold and the ‘Iconic stackable yellow gold splash ring’. These are some of Meghan’s favourite rings, and cost £2854 and £854 respectively. Get these rings here and here.
