Continuing their trip around the Baltic, The Earl and Countess of Wessex spent a second day in Estonia, with the Countess debuting a new tweed dress from Oscar de la Renta.
We saw a new coat for Sophie, a piece from Vince; it was the label’s single-breasted coat in black cherry. It costs £685 and is still available here. The coat features dropped shoulder seams, a notched lapel, visible button fastening and two slip pockets to the front. The silhouette of the coat is straight, and it is made from a wool and nylon blend.
Sophie wore a new dress from Oscar de la Renta: the balloon sleeve tweed mini dress. Featuring a scoop neck, half balloon sleeves, a mini hemline above the knee, there is also a dropped waistline leading into a box-pleated skirt, adorned with two large buttons on the front pleat. The fabric is a navy and black tweed houndstooth pattern, and other items were available too, like the pencil skirt we show below. It retailed for £2250 but is now sold out.
We like the mix of burgundy with navy here for Sophie.
She carried her tassel pouch from Noble Macmillan in the ‘cyclamen’ colour; Lady Louise has borrowed this from her mother in the past, too. The bag features a zip top, complete with large matching leather tassel, and is a pouch style clutch, meaning there isn’t too much room in there as the cut of the bag is about the shape. The Countess of Wessex has an ‘S’ embossed onto her clutch. You can get your own tassel clutch here, in cyclamen like Sophie, or other shades include navy, fuchsia pink or black; they cost £99.
Sophie wore a new pair of boots, we think, as we didn’t recognise them. These look to be from Prada, one of her go-to shoe makers. These knee-high boots feature a block heel of about 3.5-4 inches, a hidden platform and round toe, plus a half-zip on the inside of the ankle. They are very slim fitting up the calf thanks to the stretch suede and are an older season style, no longer available.
Sophie’s earrings are the ‘Lens‘ earrings by Lucia Odescalchi. These unusual earrings feature a sterling silver (with a black oxidised finish) mount for a half-sphere hyaline quartz, with small white diamonds on each of the four points holding the stone in place. The hook of the earring, which in fact closes at the base of the quartz is made of 18k gold. These are handmade in Italy and measure approx 1.7cm wide. These are no longer available but cost in the region of £500 when bought. You can still view them here.
