Sophie, Countess of Wessex spend the day in Leeds on Monday, attending various engagements including the children’s hospital in the day, and a charity reception and dinner at Harewood House that evening. She opted for a repeat of her floral chogm dress in the day, and a multi-coloured silk maxi dress by Galvan for later on.
The Countess chose a navy floral print tea dress from Suzannah. The marigold print dress sells for £595 and is a vintage-inspired tea dress from the 1930’s, made from a soft silk crepe de chine cloth. Sophie wore this to CHOGM recently, and also in Sri Lanka. With a v-neckline with ruching around the bodice and inverted v-empire waistline, the piece also has 3/4 sleeves, an invisible rear zip closure and a fluid fluted skirt. It is still available in most sizes here.
Completing the look, The Queen’s daughter-in-law chose her Prada pumps that we have seen quite frequently in recent weeks. These are nude leather heels with a pointed toe and modest 3-inch heel; the leather is slightly textured with a gentle sheen, but not quite patent-shiny. Sophie is a big fan of neutral toned court heels, owning many pairs in nude, tan and blush from designers Prada and Gianvito Rossi and always opting for just that shorter heel height than we are used to seeing from Kate and Meghan – a reminder that Sophie is 51, though! These heels have now sold out. Get a nice replicate here.
Sophie also chose her Sophie Habsburg ‘Amber’ clutch in beige for the day. This is a popular piece in the Countess’ wardrobe and is a snakeskin covered, metal framed clutch. It costs £378. This is definitely an everyday bag for the Countess as she carries her Amber clutch on numerous occasions and owns the bag in different colour-ways. We may be getting to the point where we hope Sophie will add a few new and interesting clutches to her rotation, but of course getting wear and value out of items is important for most of us! We know that Sophie does own some very interesting clutches and would like to see more of these or new funky clutches added to her collection. You can purchase the Sophie Habsburg clutch here.
For accessories, Sophie opted for her Heavenly Necklaces ‘Circle of Love’ earrings, a recently new addition. These earrings are rhodium-plated sterling silver, with cubic zirconia stones, and a matching necklace and bracelet is also available. These are such a perfect pair of dressy earrings for any outfits and can be worn for the night and the day, without too much fuss. They cost just £60 and you can get a pair here or try this cheaper replicate here, here, and here.
A blue-stone pendant necklace completed her look. We have found a fantastic match for this necklace here.
Later that evening, the Countess headed to Harewood House outside of the city for a charity reception.

Sophie wore a Galvan ‘Andina’ printed silk shirt dress, retailing for £1,195. This striking maxi-length shirt dress has a vibrant coloured llama print motif over the dress in pink, red blue and green. The pattern is interjected with tesslated patterns of arrows and a small square. The front of the skirt has two slits up to the mid-thigh giving the dress a flirty edge. A pointed collar and self-tie belt adorn the waist. We think that this dress looks absolutely stunning on Sophie and are so happy to see her wear such a bright bold dress. The piece doesn’t actually look that intriguing on the model, however the Countess makes this dress look incredible. A definite favourite dress of late. You can still purchase this dress here and here.

Sophie accessorised with a pair of gold stud multi-drop hexagonal blue-stone earrings. We know that Sophie is a huge fan of aquamarines as she often choses this type of tiara and the light blue compliments her blonde hair beautifully. These are from Ippolita’s Modern Rock Candy collection and are made of 18ct yellow gold and blue topaz, with a total weight of 0.56 carats. It appears the Countess has had hers altered to studs instead of wire posts.
