Princess Beatrice was ethereal in her choice of dress for the Royal Wedding of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the weekend. One of the most anticipated wedding guests fashion choices after many had slammed her and Princess Eugenie’s outfit choices for the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton back in 2011; for this wedding Beatrice wore a blush coat dress from Armani with laser cut detail around the collar and Philip Treacy large oversized bow fascinator, which was ill received. Love or hate the hat, her coat was actually gorgeous, tailored and fitted beautifully. We hope one day she will re-wear this piece. But for Prince Harry’s day, she opted for a simple headpiece with a flashy teal dress.

Beatrice wore the Roksanda ‘Viola” dress. This was a bespoke piece customised for the Princess and we thought she looked exquisite. Beatrice wore the dress in a beautiful jewel tone teal colour way and had the hem of the dress shortened to a tea length. The dress has voluminous sheer Bishop sleeves with bubble beading near the cuffs, a rounded neckline gives way to a fitted bodice dotted with bubble beads and cinched in at the waistline. The stand out feature of this dress is the flared skirt with embellished bubble beading that graduates and concentrates toward the hem. The dress is made from silk-organza, has a concealed zip and hook/eye closure, the lining of the dress is made from an acetate/silk blend. The longer gown version of the Viola dress retails for between £7,000 and £12,000 and there were only 15 made in each colour.

Beatrice wore a Stephen Jones headpiece, a milliner that both her and sister Princess Eugenie have worn in the past. A sculptured multi tier piece with five rows of bands in a teal colour way. This piece looked very similar in structure to the headpiece worn to the MET Gala two weeks ago. The headpiece evoked quite a Tudor feel, being likened to a multi band french hood, without the veil. A little bit of a toned down hat choice from William and Kate’s, wedding, though we love Beatrice’s confidence in trying out new millinery styles and really hope she continues to do so, she makes things more interesting. The headpiece was perfect for Beatrice and added just enough of a hard edged twist to her feminine outfit. We show Princess Beatrice’s headpiece with added side loops.

Princess Beatrice wore Gianvito Rossi 105 satin heels, retailing for £495. A court heel with a slim stiletto heel of 105mm high, a pointed toe and covered in a soft shiny blush satin. A very apt choice for a Royal Wedding, oozing elegance and class. We loved this choice of court heel for Beatrice and think that is the first time she has opted for the Italian shoe designer, one of our favourite pairs of shoes she has ever worn.

We are glad that she did not chose to a head to toe monochromatic outfit, and chose a different colour shoe from the rest of her ensemble. The blush colour is a perfect alternative to a nude patent heel, great for a formal day occasion. Both satin and velvet court heels are very fashion forward at the moment. Princess Beatrice carried a bag also by Roksanda, the ‘Besa’ ring bag, retailing for between £800 and £1,000. Beatrice had her bag also created in a bespoke teal colour to match her Viola dress. The design of this bag is quite an usual style: it features a top handle, a large gold ring and long rectangular hard frame body. The bag is made from leather in Italy. We were completely surprised that Princess Beatrice did not accessorise with any earrings. Though – perhaps in a tribute to the bride – Beatrice wore two ring stacks. A five layer ring stack with rounded diamonds on her ring finger and a two thin gold bands on her index finger. The designer of the rings is still currently unknown.

We loved Princess Beatrice’s choice for the Royal Wedding ceremony. We hope we might get to see what she wore to the evening reception. Perhaps she may release a photo of her and Eugenie through her Twitter or Instagram.
