Lady Louise in Claudie Pierlot for Trooping the Colour

Lady Louise joined her parents, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, and brother James, Viscount Severn, for the carriage procession for Trooping the Colour, to mark the annual celebration of her grandmother’s birthday. She then joined The Queen and other members of the Royal Family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the fly-past. Lady Louise choose a navy dress from French designer Claude Pierlot.

The Queen’s Birthday Parade is a display of the individual physical prowess and discipline of the British Army’s soldiers, and a celebration of Her Majesty The Queen’s official birthday. This year the regiment “trooping” its Colour (ceremonial Regimental flag) is the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, with One thousand four hundred soldiers will take part. The event is attended by almost every member of the Royal Family.

Recycled from her cousin Princess Eugenie’s wedding in October of 2018, Lady Louise wore her Claudie Pierlot ‘Round-neck’ dress. The navy blue dress has a rounded scoop neck at both the front and back, with the back being quite a low scoop. You also see three-quarter length sleeves, a wide self-tie belt and fit and flare full skirt. The dress is youthful, fun and fresh, a great choice for the teenage Royal. You can purchase the dress on sale here.

Louise repeated her Emily London ‘Elche’ hat. The navy duchess satin pillbox hat has a ruched centre and features oversized matching navy satin rouleaux twists, with interment twists adorned with small crystal embellishments. The hat is finished with small navy velvet flowers with pearl centres.

Louise wore her hair styled in a knotted half-up do. We would love to see Louise wear a pretty side braid or some cascading curls.

Louise accessorised with a sweet floral pearl and diamond pendant on a long line chain and a thin silver bracelet worn on her right wrist.

We did not get to see Lady Louise’s shoes, though we think she may have recycled her John Lewis & Partners ‘Aiyana Scallop Mid Heel Court Shoes’ from her royal wedding ensemble as well. These are now sold out.
