A big day for Meghan Markle today, as she attended her first official engagement with The Queen for a service at Westminster Abbey on Commonwealth Day. A much more refined look was needed for a day joining other senior members of the Royal Family and Meghan did not disappoint with her structured cream Amanda Wakeley coat and matching beret from Stephen Jones.

We haven’t seen a lot of Amanda Wakeley pieces recently, both Catherine and Sophie have worn the designer in the past, so it is refreshing to see her designs back again.
Meghan wore a new coat by Amanda Wakeley. The cream sculpted tailoring crombie coat costs £895. This coat is impeccably tailored in a very clean cut classic style. The coat features a petite collar that Meghan wore choose to wear standing up, front darts, a wide waist band with 2 hidden hook and eye closures and rear vent. This coat is a polyseter blend and come fully lined. Meghan has added another staple coat to her wardrobe that we hope to see for many years to come. Meghan wore the Amanda Wakeley ‘Springsteen’ midnight tailored midi dress. The sleeveless dress has a v-neckline with bold stitched panelling along the bodice which nips in at the waist. The skirt is pencil silhouette falling to just below the knee. The exposed through gold zipper at the rear could be confused for a Victoria Beckham piece as this is also a signature of this design. Meghan donned a hat by Stephen Jones Millinery, the same milliner said to have made head pieces for Pippa Middleton for her wedding. Meghan’s hat is a structured wool felt stem beret, a very similar shape to the Philip Treacy hat she wore to Sandringham Christmas. This Stephen Jones design fits Meghan’s head perfectly, it is not too high and has just the right tilt for her face shape. It is a must that you have a hat fitting and the hat fit the shape of your head perfectly. If a smaller fitted hat appears wider than your head or too high it is actually ill-fitting, like wearing a pair of shoes that is 2 sizes too big for you. This is sometimes the reason why people may not like a hat someone is wearing without really knowing the reason why.

Meghan already owns these in black suede. You can purchase Meghan’s heels Tora Style heel here or in straight back heel version here.
Meghan carried a new Mulberry bag. The Small Darley bright navy cross grain leather, which retails for £550. A flap cross-body bag with signature Postman’s Lock in gold and Mulberry engraved underneath. The bag features a gold zip at the rear and gold linked chain that can be worn across the body or hidden away to be carried as a clutch.
Meghan has previously been seen carrying the Mulberry Bayswater tote in black and tan. You can purchase Meghan’s bag here.
Meghan accessorised with her Adina Reyter 14k gold three diamond amigos curve posts £364.59. These earrings feature a curved gold bar with 3 diamond attachments in varying sizes, with the largest in the middle. We think that these were actually the pair that Meghan was wearing with her J Crew coat recently. You can purchase Meghan’s earrings here.

This is one of Meghan’s best outfits to date.
I just had to include this photo at the end as it is just to cute! It looks like William and Kate are saying “Come on you two, hurry up, it’s this way.” Giving a nice guiding hand for Meghan’s first Royal Engagement with Her Majesty.
