Sophie is stylish in Suzannah for Chelsea Flower Show

The Earl and Countess of Wessex joined other members of the Royal Family for the Chelsea Flower Show yesterday evening. Edward and Sophie took time to visit The Duchess of Cambridge’s ‘Back to Nature’ garden. Sophie looked the picture of elegance in a green dress from Suzannah.

Sophie wore Suzannah ‘Stormy Hearts Midi Length Tea Dress’, retailing for £895. The beautiful silk dress with plunging v-neckline, smocked detail over the bodice and at the sleeves. Three-quarter sleeves hit just below the elbow, the longer line skirt has a soft draped a-line skirt and rear centre zip. The moody heart print of black and white heart dance over the green silk fabric of the dress. The print was inspired from a French painting and transferred to the silk fabric. You can purchase the dress here.

Yes you may be confused by the name with both ‘midi’ and ‘tea’ in the name and both normally relating to length. In this instance ‘tea’ refers to a style of vintage dress from the 30s/40’s, and not a longer length of skirt.

The Countess of Wessex wore her Penelope Chilvers ‘High Mary Jane’ wedges, retailing for £139. The white leather wedges have a jute sole and heel, a buckled ankle strap and a height of 9cm. They are made in Spain with traditional methods and authentic hand stitching and woven meccanica detail. These wedges were the perfect choice for climbing through Kate’s garden and up the ladder of the treehouse. You can purchase Sophie’s wedges here.

Sophie carried a new Sophie Habsburg clutch in grey and black snake print. Sophie has the ‘pochette’ style in a range of colours. The trapeze style envelope clutch has a small front flap with hidden clasp and decorative silver metallic snake detail. Sophie Habsburg is currently updating her website and we will bring you more information when this clutch is available to purchase.

The Countess accessorised with a pair of dramatic geometric shaped earrings with spray bevel detail. From a gold round stud hangs an oversized leaf drop. We have seen these earrings worn on numerous occasions over the last month, and they were first seen in India. Unfortunately, we still have no ID on these earrings at present but we will update you when we find them.

Sophie chose her ‘S’ initial necklace, and added a white pashmina to her outfit. We also saw Sophie’s new white watch that we first saw worn last week for the reception held at St. James’s Palace.

We are sure this dress will be in frequent rotation in the Countess’ wardrobe.
