The Countess of Wessex chose a neutral palette for her outfit on Ladies’ Day at Royal Ascot.
Sophie’s dress featured a circular skirt falling below the knee, which dips slightly at the back, half sleeves and a scoop neck, both with a rolled detail to them; the ivory fabric featured a chevron pattern. It was a bespoke piece from Suzannah, the ‘Wave Textured Stripe Dress‘ (costing £895) with adapted sleeves and neckline; I think I preferred the original, but a nice piece all the same.
Her hat came from – surprise surprise – Jane Taylor; it seems to be a custom piece, not on their site. The cocktail hat was medium in size, more vertical than a number of Sophie’s hats, with white and nude coloured feathers on the top and underside.
The Countess’ bag was also from Jane Taylor, the milliner tweeted. The rectangular fold-over clutch was in a pale taupe, suede, by the looks of it, with panel detailing on the front.
Sophie wore a pair of nude pointed heels; they look very similar to LK Bennet’s ‘Floret’, but the tone is slightly more peach than pink.
Lastly, she accessorised the look with pearl cluster earrings and a pearl brooch, which Anna of HRHCoW blog says are from Dior.
