Arriving in Warsaw, The Duchess of Cambridge chose the national colours of Poland to begin her official visit.
Kate wore a white v-neck peplum coat dress by Alexander McQueen, teaming it with red accessories as a nod to her host country.
The piece is simply called ‘peplum coat’ and is created in a wool/silk twill fabric. The Duchess had the frills on the back of the peplum toned down a little, and added a white belt. It cost £798 on sale, and is now all sold out.
Catherine teamed the dress with her nude (‘Praline’) heels from Gianvito Rossi – odd, I thought, considering she has at least two pairs of red heels (another by Rossi), and another red clutch bag.
Her clutch was the ‘Casa’ by Jenny Packham; a hard-case piece, it features gold trim and a large clasp inset with a clear stone. Kate owns this in a silver/glitter style, too, last worn in Paris.
Jewels for the occasion were new; a ruby pendant necklace, earrings and a ring, too! There is a resemblance of the necklace to a piece stocked by G Collins and Son, which sells for £1525, though the size is slightly larger on Kate. The earrings – a single diamond stud with a similar pendant drop – seem to be a matching pair, but the ring is quite different.
I suspect the ring was a piece owned by Kate before she got married; she was often seen sporting rings when the paparazzi followed her.
