Earlier this evening, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge landed in Islamabad to begin their five-day visit to Pakistan. Catherine wowed in a traditional ombre dress and trouser set from Catherine Walker. Read more here.
The Duchess wore a new custom piece from Catherine Walker, a westernised version of a traditional shalwar kameez. The long shirt features a scoop neckline with draped fabric, and long sleeves with – as far as we can tell – 18 buttons at the cuff. The fabric is more voluminous as it moves past the legs, and flutes at the hem. The colouring is wonderful, as it moves from a pale blue to a deep turquoise in an ombre effect.
The shirt is worn over a pair of slim fit trousers – called pajama – also in the deep turquoise.

Kate chose her Rupert Sanderson ‘Malory’ heels in a nude leather to pair with the look. They are past season and no longer available.
The earrings were a new pair from Zeen, their ‘Beaded Chandelier earrings’. With a circular stud featuring white stones, it moves to a brass pear drop loop, embellished with white beads, white stones, and in the centre, turquoise stones. They cost just $10 but have since sold out. Try these to match the look.
The new clutch also came from Zeen, the ‘Cream Gleam’ bag. This hard case bag features gold hardware to the side, and a ridged cylindrical clasp. The fabric is a dappled gold and cream faux leather. This piece is also sold out, but cost $29 (approx £20). This is a great match though.
What did you think of this for an opening look for the tour? We’re looking forward to seeing more looks in the next few days!
