The Duchess of Cambridge channelled the monochrome check look on a visit to Manchester today.
Kate opted for a new coat from LK Bennett, the ‘Delli’, costing £495. In a trench style, it features a round, collarless neck with a large button detail, a ‘self-belt’ and four pockets to the front (two on the breast, two at the hip). It sits just below the knee on Catherine, making it a long-midi style for us normal-height people!

The coat sat snugly around the Duchess’ growing bump.
Kate teamed it with a new red dress from Goat. The ‘Elodie’ tunic – priced £450 – is created from wool and has a high pleated neck (giving a ruffle effect) pleated cuffs giving a flute-style to them. It is also a shift fit and sits mid-thigh. The piece available in a few sizes on the Goat site, plus in deep blue and green.
Shift fit is something Kate has favoured in all three of her pregnancies, with the movement it affords.

Once more, the chunky heeled Tod’s pumps were brought out. These were first seen when Catherine unexpectedly attended an event at Paddington Station with William and Harry and are instantly recognisable by their distinctive bumpy sole and trim which comes out past the shoe itself. They are currently available for £335 here.
In the cold weather, she also wore opaque tights.
For accessories, the Duchess chose her black Mulberry ‘Bayswater’ clutch and her Mappin and Webb ‘Empress’ earrings. While the bag is no longer available, being a few years old now, the diamond earrings retail for £3750.

To keep away the cold at the beginning of the visit, she also wore a pair of black gloves with a bow at the wrist from Cornelia James. The ‘Imogen’ gloves cost £70 and are made from merino wool by The Queen’s glovemaker.
