Camilla at Battle of Britain service – what she wore

Camilla’s visit to Westminster Abbey for the Battle of Britain service was approached appropriately with a navy coat dress and white hat.

She chose a coat dress, embroidered in white at the closure and on the cuffs. With some help from Paul Ratcliffe on Twitter, it is from Fiona Clare.

Philip Treacy is one of Camilla’s favourite milliners and it’s a safe bet this is one of their pieces. The ribbon tie is a giveaway, as is the shape of the top of the hat. The white with navy trim really works with the coat, and the plastic band is an interesting touch.

The Duchess of Cornwall wore pair of cream/ecru heels, with a crossover detail to the toe. Photos have been hard to find of these, but they are a few years old.

Her clutch, possibly in velvet, featured a glitter sun design. A very close piece comes from Mehry Mu, which you can buy below.
