During an unannounced visit to the BBC studios for cyberbullying work, The Duchess of Cambridge today repeated her teal Emilia Wickstead coat dress.
The Duchess re-wore the bespoke Emilia Wickstead piece that we first saw on William and Catherine’s tour of New Zealand in 2014. It features a box-pleat skirt, a thick waistband, long sleeves with puckered shoulders, a square neckline and an off-centre fastening to the left. Catherine also has this dress in baby pink.

While this is a beautiful colour, we think the tailoring of the piece is poor; you can see the hook and eye fastenings from the side, and the attachment stitching for these hooks is visible from the front – big no-nos! It seems that Wickstead has (thankfully) upped their standards in recent years to avoid such faux pas.
A reminder of the dress in 2014:
For shoes, the Duchess chose her Gianvito Rossi ‘105’ pumps in black, costing anywhere from £495-535. These feature a 10.5cm heel, and pointed toe; they are available here.
Kate’s earrings were a pair we have only seen once before, from Asprey. These are the ‘Oak leaf small hoop earrings’ from the brand, made of 18ct yellow gold and set with pave diamonds. The hoop is formed from overlapping oak leaves. They sell for £5,000 here and are available in a larger hoop size, forming part of the Woodland collection at the label.
You may know that the Duchess has three pendants from Asprey from the same collection: a mushroom, an oak leaf and an acorn.
We don’t believe Kate carried a clutch today unusually, though if she did, it was likely black to match her shoes.
