Zara Tindall in bespoke Seraphine and Gianvito Rossi for Easter

Attending the Easter Church Service with her grandmother The Queen, mother Princess Anne, and other members of the Royal family, Zara Tindall wore a bespoke cornflower blue coat from Seraphine.

Zara wore a Seraphine asymmetric coat in blue. The coat style is very similar to the Royal Blue Tailored Maternity dress that the Duchess of Cambridge first wore to Heads Together engagement in January and then again to the Royal Foundation Forum with Prince William, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

You will notice many of the same features on this dress that Zara’s coat also has: both the dress and the coat feature slight bell sleeve cuffs at the end of the sleeve, though the coat has full length sleeves. Both have a cinching waistband with gold double buttons to emphasise the cinched in waist. The buttons on the coat appear vertically on the left hand closure of the coat, whereas on the dress these are horizontal across the waistband. Both coat and dress feature diagonal flap welt pockets on each side of the waistband and the length falls to just below the knee.

Below we show the dress that Kate has worn and have zoomed in on the similar features of the button, pocket and bell sleeve. You can still purchase Kate’s dress here.

Zara wore a Jane Taylor hat. It was a large midnight blue sinamay titled percher fascinator, with oversize feathers and buntal twists filling the design space. The hat is attached to a headband to stabilise the weight for the wearer, though Zara’s appears to be set on a double Alice Band. We think Mrs Tindall’s piece may date to the Autumn/Winter 2013 Collection.

Here, we show the ‘Adelisa’ below which is part of Jane Taylor’s current Spring/Summer 2018 Collection, available to buy online for £468 here.

Stylist note – the “design space” of hat appears when any hat is titled leaving an open space between the wearers head and the hat. Leaving this space open to see an Alice band, head band, comb clip or other bobby pins would not look very elegant. To avoid this large empty space milliners will design the space and fill it with other hat accessories such as feathers, quills, netting, buntal twists, flowers and crinoline.

The Queen’s granddaughter also wore a towering pair of Gianvito Rossi heels in electric blue, despite being roughly 6 months pregnant. Zara wore the labels “105” pointed toe court heel which retail for £495.
