One the first day in Norway, The Duchess of Cambridge wore blue and brown, before showing off a stunning Alexander McQueen gown for a formal dinner with King Harald.
Arriving into Oslo, Kate chose a mid-blue Catherine Walker coat, another bespoke piece; this has been a popular label for this tour.

The midi coat featured a straight silhouette, with a funnel neck and structured shoulders. It was a very simple piece.
Beneath the coat was a new Séraphine dress, the ‘Marlene‘ dress from the Luxe line, costing £165. It features a lace top, with ruffled cuffs and high-neck, and black trim on the waist, neck and cuffs. The hem fell just below the knee. Elements of it reminded me of the Duchess’ Temperley ‘Eclipse’ dress seen back in October.
This was teamed with the black Tod’s heel so favoured by Kate at the moment, and her Bayswater clutch from Mulberry.
Kate chose to change after the royal meeting, into a brown and blue colour scheme instead; she put on a pair of brown suede Stuart Weitzman boots, more suitable for the snowy weather. The ‘HalfnHalf’ is a style she already owns in black. They are made of suede to the shoe and front of the leg, but the back is stretchy material. It also has a slightly higher heel, in a wood effect.
The Duchess also swapped out her clutch for the brown ‘Muse’ style from the label, and donned a pair of Cornelia James gloves, that we saw at Sandringham a few weeks ago. The brown ‘Clementine’ gloves feature a faux-fur cuff and are made of merino wool. They are still available here for £90, also in black.
Kate’s sapphire earrings completed her outfit, beneath a brown alpaca hat. She also wore her hair down in the afternoon.
The evening finished with a bang, as the Duchess wowed in a blush gown by Alexander McQueen. We are in love with this dress! Made from what looks like chiffon and silk, it features an empire line skirt, full and flowing. A cape sits over the top, with a round neck and embellishments of leaves and flowers done in diamante beads and pearls. The cape trails back like a train to mingle with the skirt.

She accessorised it with The Queen’s earrings and the wedding bracelet that was a wedding gift to her in 1947 from Prince Philip.
Her clutch was a nude version of the Jimmy Choo Celeste seen in Sweden. It is made of suede with an embellished frame.
Catherine appears to have brought out her silver Oscar de la Renta heels, first seen last year at the British-Indian reception at Buckingham Palace and then since at the Royal Variety show; they are the ‘Cabrina’.
