The Countess of Wessex opted for a lovely shade of pink on the second day of Royal Ascot, in the form of an Emilia Wickstead dress and a Jane Taylor hat.
Sophie’s dress came from Emilia Wickstead, an adapted version of the ‘Mimi‘ dress. The piece was originally emerald green crepe, but the Countess has had it done in a candy pink. It features an A-line silhouette, midi skirt, with unusual cut-out shoulder section to the back. The neck and half-sleeves are ruched; an interesting piece but not to my taste.
It was originally £1690, but is now £1183.
The Countess’ hat was from Jane Taylor, a wide brimmed bespoke piece in pink and black straw, with a pale band around the crown, which turns into twirls at the knot, plus various large, pink-toned flowers on the right-hand side.
The hair was tied up in a bun, revealing lemon topaz earrings, says Anna of HRHCoW blog, from Heavenly Necklaces; they are a simple cz stud with a detachable emerald cut stone. You can see the other colours that are available below. The bracelet was another from the line, a citrine bracelet.
It was Sophie Habsburg for the clutch (seen below). The crocodile print piece is called ‘Amber’, and has a red stone clasp.
