This week, The Countess of Wessex has spend two days in Kenya, attending the Commonwealth Women’s Affairs Ministers’ Meeting, and undertaking engagements related to gender equality. She chose floaty florals for the occasion, including a new dress by Erdem. Read more about the events over on our sister site, here.
Sophie chose an Erdem ‘Yusra Dress’ in Apsley White, which RRPs for £1,670. Featuring cuffed 3/4 length sleeves, a round neckline and a midi hemline, the dress ties delicately at the back of the neck. It is made in a silk voile fabric, and is available here.
The Countess carried one of her Sophie Habsburg ‘Pochette’ clutches, in beige. The piece features a short envelope flap and optional gold snake hardware, and is made of embossed calf leather. Get one here for €450 (approx £400).

She teamed the look with what appear to be her Prada taupe pointed heels, in an 85mm heel height.
We also saw a pair of pale pink round drop earrings – we have been waiting a long time to find these! – and what looks like a cross necklace.
On day two, the Countess went for more florals, teaming a white blouse with a pale pink skirt.
The skirt came from Valentino, their ‘Pleated silk midi skirt’, which costs £1390. In a midi length with knife-pleats all the way around, a delicate snowdrop print cascades down, being more dense at the sides.
She wore a simple white half-sleeve blouse tucked into the skirt. It bears some similarities to the ones seen in India on the Countess, but they do not have a shirred or cuffed sleeve; these were from ARossGirl.
Sophie carried her Sophie Habsburg ‘Amber’ clutch, which is a hard-framed trapeze piece in a snakeskin leather, with a red stone embellished clasp. Get one in the sale here for €380, approx. £335.
On her feet, we saw Penelope Chilvers white leather espadrille wedges. These are the ‘High Mary Jane’ style. These cost £149 here.
One again, she appeared to be wearing a cross necklace, and her Patrick Mavros pangolin earrings.
