Princess Eugenie attended the first day of Royal Ascot alongside her sister Princess Beatrice (see her first Ascot look here) with other members of the Royal Family, including their grandmother Queen Elizabeth. Princess Eugenie cut an elegant figure on the field in an Osman coat, though her neutral colour-palette was quite a departure from Eugenie’s bright bold colours and quirky fashion choices she normally opts for.

Princess Eugenie wore a Osman ‘Fleur’ tie-waist cotton-blend coat, originally retailing for £1,105 and now on sale for £773. The metallic-silver cotton coat evokes a kimono feel with v-neck line, square box flare sleeves with large cuffs. There are contouring darts and inverted pleats diagonally from the shoulders and over the bodice. A voluminous asymmetric-hem midi skirt drops lower at the back and creates a sleek edge. The coat showcases beautiful folded panel pleated detailing at the rear. The coat is fastened with a hexagonal-shaped button and self-tie belt. Whilst this piece is described as a coat, Eugenie chose to wear it as a dress. We have also seen this piece styled over jeans. We would love to see this coat styled with a 1950’s style pale pink prom dress and satin opera gloves. You can purchase this coat here.

Eugenie wore an Emily London ‘Alcor’ hat, retailing for £625. This is a beautiful couture statement piece and we adore when the Princess wears large hats that still manage to frame her face perfectly. The ice-blue straw hat features a low-height crown, that is trimmed with luxurious contrasting satin ribbons of oyster and pale blue; there is also a very slightly dropped wide brim, draped with a pale blue tassel attached to a hat pin through the side of the crown. We liken this hat to a couture fedora that has been almost flattened with a very squat or cut down crown and an elongated, exaggerated wide brim.
Eugenie has worn the same style of hat previously, though in a different colour-way. You can purchase this hat here.

Princess Eugenie brought back her accessories that she wore to the royal wedding a few weeks ago. The bride-to-be wore her Valentino ‘Garavani Rockstud 100’ heels in pale blue. A nice edge on the classic court silhouette. These heels have the famous Rockstud gold pyramid studs around the opening of the shoe and a lightly grained leather. The thin stiletto heel has a 100mm height. These heels are unavailable for purchase. Get a replicate here.

Eugenie carried her M2MALLETIER ‘Amor Fati’ shoulder bag, retailing for £1,245. This bag is in a neutral sand colour-way and showcases a very unique gold hardware cross bar handle. The ‘needle’ handle is the signature detail of any M2MALLETIER bag. The bag has a magnetic snap flap closure, an optional shoulder strap, the interior is lined and has a single slip pocket inside. We like how the shape of this bag matches with the shape of the button on Eugenie’s coat, small details in ensembles are great. You can purchase this bag here.

We thought that Eugenie showcased yet another level of sophisticated elegance which she has been slowing building over the year, with each outfit she steps out in. We can not wait for her royal wedding and to see more beautiful hat designs from the Princess over the coming Royal Ascot meetings!
