Princess Beatrice at Trooping the Colour

At the annual event of Trooping the Colour yesterday, Princess Beatrice chose a simple floral coat and boater hat in pale blue.

Beatrice’s coat was the ‘Racheel Spring Meadow‘ piece by Ted Baker (thanks to @polkapopp). The coat is of a cotton waffle material in ice-blue, with a simple floral pattern featuring swallows and an a-line skirt; it falls to the knee, with 3/4 sleeves, concealed side pockets nd an exposed zip, a regular feature of the Ted Baker line.

I quite like it as a piece, suitable for the spring and summer.

Emily London was the creator of Beatrice’s boater hat, confirmed on their Twitter account. The piece was in a boucle textured fabric, trimmed with a pleated white band and bow at the side. It sat at a jaunty angle on her head, with her hair in waves.

Not the most natural pairing, but the colours worked.

Again, due to the nature of Trooping, we have no idea what shoes the Princess was wearing, but I can only speculate a pale blue or grey.

Recreate royalty with these —>
