The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent the day in North Wales visiting William’s old Search and Rescue base, amongst other engagements. Kate brought back some very old favourites to her recycled ensemble.

The Duchess wore her Philosophy de Lorenzo ‘Serafini’ red blazer. The twill wool three-quarter length, double-breasted blazer features gold hardware buttons in vertical lines over the blazer and four gold buttons on each cuff. The peak lapel is striking and elegant with oversize patch pockets on each hip, and a rear vent. The blazer is a past season, part of the Resort 2017 Collection and no longer available, though you can still view it here. Copy Kate’s look with this blazer here.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore black skinny leg jeans that we have seen on a number of occasions before and thought to be from Zara, but they have never been formally identified.

Catherine added a fine knit black turtleneck jumper under her crimson red blazer to keep her warm from the chill. Another piece we have seen numerous times but with no confirmed ID of the piece.

Kate wore her Aquatalia by Marvin K ‘Rumba’ boots in black waterproof suede. The mid-heel boot have a side ankle zipper and low front platform. Early on her marriage, the Duchess chose to wear these boots on numerous royal engagements but we have not seen much of them over the past few years. The rhumba boot is still available here and here, for £567. These are a fantastic match.

Continuing with the theme of re-wearing her favourite classic early pieces: the Duchess brought back her Kiki McDonough ‘Kiki Classics Citrine Pear Drop Earrings’. The Duchess wore a Troy London ‘Navy Wax Parka’,  retailing for £350.  The waterproof jacket is made from 100% cotton with a wax outer coating and a black waterproof lining. The coat has a cinched waist, drawstring hood, gold zip and oversize flap patch pockets on the hips. This is a perfect outdoor jacket. It was the only new piece we have seen Kate chose for today. Kate swapped her old favourite boots for another pair of her old favourite boots, wearing her Penelope Chilvers ‘Long Tassel Boots’, in Conker. The Spanish vegetable-dyed leather knee-high boots feature a side zipper with long tassel zip pull and scallop edged detailing. The traction soles are made from Goodyear Welted Commando rubber sole. Kate has owned these boots since before she was married, and the fact that she can still wear them now shows just how good the quality of these boots are. Definitely worth the investment. These boots retail for £475 and can be purchased here.

On a side note, it was very nice to see Prince William dress in a different colour than navy or white. The Duke wore a forest green jumper and blue and yellow Nike trainers. It is nice to see brighter colours on him.
