Duchess Kate wears Seraphine to first Royal Foundation Forum

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a familiar Seraphine Maternity dress today for the what the media is describing as the “Fab Four’s” first joint appearance at the Royal Foundation Forum. Today’s engagement was the first time that Meghan Markle officially joined The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry for a royal engagement and it was an exciting event.

Kate opted for a second blue palette for this week. Her colour choice complimented Meghan’s navy dress from Jason Wu. See our post on Meghan Markle’s ensemble here.

The Duchess re-wore the ‘Royal Blue Tailored Maternity Dress’ retailing for £99.00 at Seraphine (it will be restocked next month), last seen at the primary school mental health resource launch in January. The A-Line dress is knee-length, featuring a square neckline, empire waist with gold button detailing under the bust in the centre, a half peplum and slight bell sleeves. The dress is made in premium stretch woven fabric and is a part of the label’s Luxe Collection, like Catherine’s lace number worn in Norway.

Upon arrival Kate was also spotted in her Hobbs London ‘Gianna Coat’, that we saw not too long ago. The coat is in a ‘French Navy’ colour and takes inspiration from equestrian riding coats. The coat features a curved large collar, double breasted buttons in pewter, a flared skirt and exquisite back detailing, and is made from wool and is fully lined. It cost £252 but is sold out.

You can see a photo of it here.

Kate once again wore her Jimmy Choo ‘Georgia’ heels in navy suede, that also made an appearance yesterday for her engagement at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. These court heels have become a favourite of the Duchess’ during her third pregnancy with a round toe and block heel – we can’t blame Kate for re-wearing these gorgeous heels for a second day in a row. If she is anything like most women she may have just kicked off her heels in her bedroom and the next day picked them up and thought, these are great for today too, why change?

The Duchess wore a new pair of diamond and ruby floral stud earrings which are yet to be identified, and tucked her Stuart Weitzman ‘Muse’ clutch down the side of her chair during the event.

It was wonderful to see the two women appear together on stage working alongside each other for today’s engagement; you can read about Meghan’s look here. All four of them will make a great team in the years to come.
