Today, Kate attended church with members of the Royal Family on Easter Sunday at Windsor; it also happens to be The Queen’s 93rd birthday today. We saw a return of a rarely-seen favourite outfit for The Duchess of Cambridge.
Kate chose a dove grey coat from Alexander McQueen. Featuring a high, almost-funnel collar, peaked shoulders and slim fit through the bodice and skirt, and slightly flared bracelet sleeves. This was a real hit with royal fashion watchers the first time we saw it. It appears as though Kate might have had it tailored even more since the first wear, as it is very slim fitting.
This outfit was first – and last – seen in 2014, when the Cambridges were on tour in Australia and New Zealand. It was also worn to an Easter service then.

The Duchess of Cambridge chose the same hat, a bespoke grey felt piece from Jane Taylor. It features a moulded tear-drop base, adorned with an intricate, but loose, mesh bow.
Kate paired the coat with her Emmy London ‘Natasha’ clutch and the ‘Rebecca’ heels from the label. We last saw these at the Commonwealth Service in March. Kate has chosen for matching edge piping instead of metallic on her clutch, which costs £350 and is available here.
The heels are also owned by the Duchess in a blush colour, and these grey shoes have been seen on Zara Tindall, too but in steel grey. They feature a straight heel of 4.5in and cost £425; available here.
Catherine opted for her wedding earrings, created by Robinson Pelham. These were a gift from her parents, featuring the acorn and oak leaves from the Middleton family crest, created in diamonds. This is only the third time we have seen these special pieces.
The Duchess also wore her unidentified oak leaf and acorn brooch, again channelling the Middleton crest. We first saw this at Christmas in 2015.
A really polished look from Catherine; what did you think?
