The Countess of Wessex wore a stunning crimson coloured Roksanda pencil dress a fortnight ago, as she attended a reception to celebrate frontline nursing, hosted by The Prince of Wales; more info on the event here.
Sophie wore the Roskanda ‘Lavete’ bow sleeve crepe dress in rose-red, which retailed for around £995. The fitted dress features a cinched waistline, jewel neckline, 3/4 cropped sleeves and falls to just below the knee. The striking detail on this dress is the large oversize bows, tied just above dramatic bell sleeves. The cuff bows are accented in a contrast brown piping trim. The dress is made from stretch crepe, has an concealed rear zip, rear vent, darts across the front and rear bodice and skirt and is tailored in England.
This dress was part of the Autumn Winter 2017 collection and is currently sold out, but you can still view it at Nordstorm here. You can find an absolutely fabulous replicate of this dress for only £26 here and £21 here.
The fitted pencil dress silhouette is very striking on Sophie and a nice departure from her normal fit and flare a-line skirted midi to tea length dresses. The oversize bow cuffs add a feminine elegance to this dress, creating a regal presence for the wearer – it is reminiscent of the styles that Queen Maxima of the Netherlands favours.

This dress is also available in a fit and flare silhouette with a deep v-neckline or a short a-line dress. The ‘Lavete’ is currently available in several colours, including blue, black, orange, blush, purple and forest green. Each colour of the Lavete dress features a different coloured contrast pipping, except for the black, which features no contrast piping.
We have found the dress in blue available for you at numerous retailers. You can purchase the dress in blue here, here, here and here. You may also like the black colour way of this dress. Available to purchase here, here, here and here.

Sophie accessorised with her Heavenly Necklaces citrine gold teardrops earrings retailing for £46. Unfortunately these earrings are no longer available, though you can purchase a great replicate of her earrings here.
The Countess also wore her “S” pendant necklace – which is yet to be identified – and her FitBit Alta in black.
The Queen’s daughter-in-law also wore the Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps (QARANC) Issue Cap / Beret Badge as a brooch on her left shoulder. You can actually purchase a version of the Cap Badge for £8 here.
She has worn this brooch previously on engagements when she undertakes her role as Colonel in Chief (QARANC) of the Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps.

Unfortunately from the photos we did not get a look at her shoes, or even if she carried a clutch, though we would take an educated guess to think they are nude pointed-toe court heels by Prada, seen on a few engagements recently.
This is a stunning dress and looks perfect on Sophie. What do you think of the look?
