The Earl and Countess of Wessex joined The Queen, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and other members of the Royal Family a garden party at Buckingham Palace yesterday. Sophie re-wore a beautiful pale pink Emilia Wickstead dress and matching bespoke Jane Taylor hat.
Sophie re-wore her Emilia Wickstead ‘Dionne macramé-trimmed crepe dress’ in soft-pink. The dress has a rounded neckline, fitted bodice to the waist and a fit and flare tea-length skirt. The notable feature of this dress is the intricate detail of the black macramé down each of the sleeves. The silhouette of this dress is favoured by the Countess and she looks elegant in this style. The ‘Dionne’ dress is from a past season – we first saw it at Ascot last year – and unfortunately unavailable to purchase.
The Countess added her bespoke Jane Taylor percher. The matching baby pink circular hat is trimmed with a black lattice detail around the edge, and black lattice and pink crinoline trim. A very unique hat and one of our favourite smaller hats that Sophie owns from Jane Taylor.
Sophie wore this hat previously for Royal Ascot in 2018, with the same Dionne dress.
Sophie carried her Sophie Habsburg black snake effect zip folder over pouch. This clutch is currently not available to purchase. We show an HQ image of the piece at Ascot last summer.
The Countess accessorised with rounded pink moonstone drops. We believe these are from Heavenly Necklaces.
The Countess’ necklace looked unfamiliar to us, but the lack of photos means we haven’t any more information for you. Additionally, there were no full length photos to show us what shoes she wore; if we had to guess, simply black pumps or her pink velvet Jimmy Choo ‘Romy’ heels.

And The Queen, who wore a gorgeous sapphire and diamond snowflake brooch, that was a gift from Canada for her Sapphire Jubilee (65 years).
