Kate wore the Seraphine ‘Marlene’ maternity cocktail dress. The dress features a lace bodice with ruffled neckline, long sheer sleeves and subtle bell cuffs. Kate has had her dress modified so her bodice and sleeves are both lined in jersey stretch. The neckline, cuffs and empire waist line are trimmed with velvet accents. The draped skirt falls in an A-Line silhouette to the knee and has an invisible back zip.
This stunning piece is perfect for day or evening and is part of the label’s Luxe Collection. Lace dresses have long been a favourite of Catherine’s and give her a beautiful feminine elegance. The dress is priced at £165, though, unfortunately the dress is currently out of stock, but scroll down and you’ll find some great replikate options.
Seraphine also stocks this similar piece – Teal Blue Lace Top Maternity Dress for £159, though it is only available in limited sizes.
Kate carried her Mulberry ‘Bayswater’ clutch in black suede. This flap clutch is slightly more detailed than yesterday’s Emmy London piece, with a silver hardware turn-lock closure and a small Mulberry logo engraved just above the lock.
Kate accessorised with her sapphire and diamond earrings. These earrings originally owned by Diana were set as a stud earring but upon receiving them as a gift, the Duchess has modified the earrings that perfectly match her engagement ring into a drop style, giving them a more modern edge. There is just something that I absolutely love about blue sapphire earrings – they are such a striking addition to any outfit.
On her feet were Stuart Weitzman ‘Power’ black suede pumps. A classic pair of work appropriate black court heels that can be re-worn so many times and a staple for any woman’s wardrobe. Kate owns a range of black court heels from various designers.
A stunning dress on Catherine today, though her clutch and court shoes are very in keeping with the same styles worn yesterday just in a different suede colour. Kate has so many beautiful options for heels and clutches, we want to her to slightly mix it up a bit and even wear pieces that don’t perfectly match!
